Asheville, NC Adventure Week!

I am so excited to be embarking on a fun week and a half of North Carolina Adventures today! We’re packing up the fam and heading over to Asheville for the week!  Besides having my college roommate/maid of honor living there, I adore Asheville for it’s uniqueness, and whimsical fun, as well as it’s rich historical heritage.

Asheville has some amazing attractions and activities for families that we’re looking forward to exploring.  So we will be sharing all of our adventures through the Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and Four Square.

Today, we’ll be arriving to check in at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa, and we are so excited to explore the grounds!  Luckily, they offer Free Wi-Fi Access, so I’ll be able to blog away and post pictures!  Yippee! That is, if I’m not collapsed asleep from all the fun!GoBlueRidgeCardNC

So after we get settled, and pick up our Go Blue Ridge Cards, we’re off to explore Downtown Asheville with the kids and see what we can get ourselves into.  The Go Blue Ridge Card is a pass that gives you admission to 30 attractions over a 2-5 day period with one price.  It’s a great way to tour all Western NC has to offer, including some attractions right here in Boone, where I live!

Tuesday, we’re taking the kids to the Colburn Earth Science Museum, since they are mesmerized by gems, minerals, and rocks of all kinds! (Yes, even driveway gravel.) Then off to picnic in Pack Square Park— go look, there’s a standard poodle on the website! (#lovemystandardpoodle) Finally, we’ll go on a comedy tour of Asheville from La Zoom Tours.

Wednesday, I’m off to a Biltmore Estate adventure, while the family visits some friends!

Of course, our newly-named Gnome, Gnorm is coming along so look out for him popping up in the photos! (he he)
