I have been having a blast on our NC Adventure Vacation, with the first stop in Asheville and Biltmore Estate! Right now, we are in Ocean Isle Inn, at the coast, and we had a great time with Miss Lori’s Activate Family Weekend! I’ve been slow on the writing, but every night, I’ve been editing photos like a crazy woman! The new camera I recently bought has me snapping more than an alligator chasing a …. what do they eat, anyway?
Well, I’ve decided that to share all the awesome stories and photos, I’m going to start sharing Travel Tuesdays here at Real Life!
For the first Travel Tuesday, here are my Top Ten Favorite nature photos taken at Biltmore Estate and Gardens. I still have lots to learn about the camera, photography and editing, though. What do you think? Which one is YOUR favorite?
I’m also linking this post up at OhAmanda’s Top Ten Tuesday, because she ROCKS!
EDITED TO ADD: So I’m reading Social Media 101 by Chris Brogan while I’m at the beach. (Why do I need a 101 book? It’s great to get a new perspective on things you *think* you already know.) Anyway, one of the statements regarding content creation took me by storm as it jumped off the page by the pool. It didn’t get wet, thankfully. On page 59, Chris asks the question: “Media Makers: Are you purists? Are you mashing and reusing and remixing? Are you making it easier for people to share and use your media?”
Then I realized I hadn’t done that by slapping a big fat copyright statement on here, as if I have the patent on flowers and bees. So I’m changing it to a Creative Commons License. Wanna re-post these pics? Wanna incorporate one into a blog design or button? Think you can do a really cool edit or artistic effect with one of them? Go for it! I’d love to see what you can do! (Just please link back here? Pretty please?)
